Right now, the Nikon 35mm f/1.4 lens is about 1,800 vs. I have no doubt that street photographers and anyone shooting in low-light conditions will absolutely love this lens. In the case of that camera the decency level is situated near 30-32 lpmm and the best fixed-focus lenses reach as high as 44-47 lpmm. ![]() If you shoot Nikon, the classic Nikon 35mm f/1.4 AI-s (850 new or 500 used) is better made than any of these and less expensive to boot, but as the oldest isn’t quite as good optically wide-open as the rest.
